Privacy policy
Fanara - Fotolivro is a free Windows desktop application that helps photographers assemble PDF photo proofs and photo books from a folder of images on their own computer. This policy explains how the app handles data.
Summary
Fanara - Fotolivro does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app makes no network connection: it never sends anything to Estúdio Fanara, to Microsoft, or to any third party. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.
What the app processes
- Photographs you choose. You select a folder on your own computer, and the app reads the image files in it — including embedded previews from RAW files — to build a PDF. This processing happens only in memory, only while the app is open.
- Output files. The PDF, and, if you choose to save one, a project file, are written only to a location you pick yourself through the standard Windows save dialog. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
- On-device face detection. To help frame the classic cover style, the app can locate faces within a photo using local image analysis. This produces temporary coordinates used only to compute a crop; it does not identify who is in the photo, does not create a face template or biometric profile, and is never stored or transmitted.
What the app does not do
- No account, sign-in, or registration of any kind.
- No internet connection, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising.
- No access to camera, microphone, or location.
- No cookies — the app is not a website.
- No data is sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party, because none is collected in the first place.
Children
The app is a professional photo-layout tool, not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — because it does not collect data from any user, of any age.
Windows and the Microsoft Store
Downloading, installing, and updating the app through the Microsoft Store is subject to Microsoft's own privacy practices for Windows and the Store, which are outside this app's control. See Microsoft's privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated text will be published with the app's next Microsoft Store update. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
